Kix explained that there’s been a lot of “ebb and flow” to it all over the span of 30 years, and when they started having #1’s with radio hits as a duo, it was a bit confusing considering they had been doing the same things solo and it had never worked like that:

When she first met this aspiring musician decades ago, she most likely had no idea about the interesting life that was to come after his first recording session in Nashville. We had nothing in common onstage. He was starting Arista records with Clive Davis at the time.”
