Personal Life: Married Life with Georges LeBar

RuPaul Andre Charles, the iconic drag queen and television host, married his longtime partner, Australian painter Georges LeBar, in January 2017.

Georges LeBar, born on January 24, 1973, operates an expansive ranch in Wyoming, which not only serves as a home for the couple but also reflects his passion for the arts.

We need to start addressing the issues that actually hurt Americans – Drag queens aren’t hurting people.

Drag Queens aren’t harming anyone, and yet they are the ones that lawmakers are trying to “protect” people from. Their commitment to one another has made them a power couple within the LGBTQ+ community, inspiring many with their enduring partnership.

Born on November 17, 1960, in San Diego, California, RuPaul's journey to fame began in his youth when he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, during his teenage years. "I am plotting a safety net."

He "wouldn't call it a bunker," he added. I couldn't.

In addition to his reality TV success, RuPaul has made substantial income from his music career, with several albums and hit singles under his belt, including the iconic "Supermodel (You Better Work)." He also capitalizes on merchandise and fashion collaborations, expanding his brand beyond the television screen.

Am I devoted to him? "We looked into it if we could get a tax break and stuff."

But the question, Rupaul added, was never, "Is he devoted to me? No slouch at 6-foot-4 in bare feet, the then-33-year-old "Supermodel" performer was drawn to the guy's goofy moves, describing him as "gorgeous and a little wild, with a thick unibrow and high cheekbones."

So RuPaul headed in his direction.

The roughly 6-foot-8 gentleman in platform shoes turned out to be Georges "with an at the end," from Perth, Australia.

RuPaul not only hosted the show but also utilized it as a platform to promote drag culture, diversity, and self-acceptance. His rise to international fame was marked by the release of his debut single, “Supermodel (You Better Work)”, a hit that was part of his first album “Supermodel of the World” released in 1993.

RuPaul’s contributions to the entertainment industry have been monumental.

RuPaul's influence extends to his podcast, "What's the Tee?" and various appearances in films and TV shows, further amplifying his earnings. He joined forces with his Atlanta roommate Lady Bunny to participate in Wigstock, a drag festival that originated in the East Village. He and his sister moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he began his journey into the world of performance.

This decision proved seminal for RuPaul, leading to regular appearances on the show, where he showcased his vibrant personality and burgeoning talent. Because love. "The hoax is that monogamy is something that can actually happen," RuPaul told Vanity Fairin 2019. I like him the most of anybody I've ever met."
