Old Town District is a historic warehouse district that has been transformed into a bustling neighborhood with shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars.

Wichita makes a solid long-weekend pick if you want a Midwestern city with an easy pace, good food, and a real LGBTQ+ community. Here you will find some of the best gay bars, local cafes, unique boutiques, and other fun places to check out. The Douglas Design District (DDD) is another gay-friendly neighborhood located along Douglas Avenue just east of downtown Wichita.

For LGBTQ+ venues, start with XY Bar for DJs, dancing, and regular drag, plus themed nights like bingo. With its spacious interior and professional sound system, it's a great place for larger gatherings.
