We are individual members and congregations of the Presbyterian Church (USA) who are faithful to God's call and believe that God continues to open new understandings of scripture and the Word in the life of Christ. But if she didn’t love that man, she still had to marry him and one can’t legitimately argue that God is in favor of serial rape!

    We work for the development of sexual theology leading to the reform of its teachings and practices regarding human sexuality, and for the acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender peoples as full and equal members of the one Christ.

  • [So, next time you hear the utterances of homophobic clergy who appeal to the Bible to justify their prejudices, remember that they speak out of ignorance and/or hatefulness, and pay them no mind!

    We reach out to teach that Christ's message, the Gospel, is for everyone equally. We welcome people of any faith, colour or background. (Romans 11:21-24) The phrase is probably best translated, “unexpected,” or something not done in the usual way.

A “pais” was frequently one who had a romantic-sexual relationship with an older man; that may well be why the centurion was so concerned about this particular young man and asked Jesus to heal him.

    We are committed to finding a way both to live out the graciously hospitable gospel we have received and to live together with all our fellow members in the PC(USA). If one reads the account of Deborah, a Judge and esteemed warrior in Israel, one comes away with a feeling that she may well have been transgendered, as she certainly didn’t live up to the cultural expectations of how a “woman” is to behave.

    “It was very effective. We do this by giving churches the opportunity to register and submit their church on the map by filling in a questionnaire. Gathering twice yearly for worship and play, we draw sustenance from each other and from the Spirit for our work and life in the world.

    We are all one in Christ.
